There are three ways to move items on your computer to the trash/recycle bin–
1. The most common method is to click on the item and drag it to the trash/recycle bin. This is effective, but can be the most time consuming.
2. Right click on the item–Mac users would then select move to trash from the right-click menu. (Remember Mac users can utilize the right click menu by clicking on the mouse and pressing control at the same time OR if you have a laptop press down the Track pad with two fingers.) PC users right click on the item and select delete from the pop-up menu.
3. The quickest method is a shortcut and also my favorite when using a Mac. Mac users should click on the item that you would like to move to the trash and then press command and delete at the same time. Most PC users should be able to press shift and Delete to remove the file. PC users should use this with caution as this command deletes the file and does NOT place it in the Recycle Bin.
