Charades

Teacher Tuesday:

Here is a fun classroom learning activity for elementary on up through high school.  Charades is a free version of the iPad game called Heads Up.  Players hold a device up to their forehead and their teammates try to get them to guess the word either by explaining with words or using charades.  The best part of this app is that you can create custom decks—so imagine this game with your own review terms or a vocabulary deck for students.  This app is free, but it only works with Apple devices (iOS) such as an iPad or iPhone.  Students can create their own deck in just a few moments by pushing the + Custom button.  Another option is to share your deck with students–do that by selecting Email and you will find a custom deck code that students can enter.  You can find Charades in the Apple App Store or to learn more about Charades go to https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/charades/id653967729?mt=8.
